Mobile game company, Com2uS has signed a Summoners War: Sky Arena license agreement with Funko, Inc., a leading toy manufacturer in the United States in an attempt to extend Summoners War IP.

Funko is a famous toy manufacturer and distributor in not only US but also all around the world with a unique bobblehead figure style.
They have been characterizing major Hollywood franchise IPs, such as Marvel series and Star Wars, as well as world-class cultural content in movies, animation, and games.
Com2uS will be the first Korean mobile game company to collaborate with them to create Summoners War IP licensed merchandise.

Through this contract, Funko will reinterpret the world of Summoners War and the game’s representative character as a unique design of their best-selling figure line, Pop! Vinyl series, and produce various merchandise such as figures, apparel and accessories. In y, they will produce a variety of Summoners War digital products, such as digital stickers, cards, 2D and 3D custom characters to enrich the product lineup.

Andrew Perlmutter, president of Funko stated, “We are delighted to license the world’s best mobile game, Summoners War” and said, “The fans of Funko and mobile games will love the characters and the world of Summoners War created in our own unique way.”

Through its partnership with the global company, Com2us will further expand its IP as a global brand. Following a partnership with Skybound Entertainment, which was established by the creator of Hollywood’s “The Walking Dead”, Summoners War has once again proved its value as a global brand beyond the game. Based on these solid partnerships, Com2uS will continue to expand its licensing business to further develop Summoners War IP value.

According to Com2uS, “The contract with Funko that professionally licenses only content with global recognition, has given the opportunity to expand the IP domain of Summoners War as a global brand” and said, “We’ll continue to expand our business to further extend the IP of our games, including Summoners War, via partnerships with top-notch global companies.”
