Last July 14, WarnerTV held their second event in Bonifacio High Street for WarnerTV Pop Expo; an open event that has games, toys, and entertainment. Things are a bit different from last year, except for the confusing weather which was a mixture of sunshine and rain. From last year, WarnerTV Pop Expo has been held in a more earlier date than last year which was in September. From what we gather, the even seemed more smaller in comparison to what it was last year.

We have noticed the increasing number of exhibiting stores like Long Live Play PH and The Saber Sentry which seemed to be the eye catcher for those coming from the 11th Ave. side of High Street, the event stretches until the open area on both sides of 9th Ave with the main stage situated on the middle, with more exhibitors selling their goods like Fandom Feels. Artists have come also to sell their artworks in forms of prints and posters. Famous artists like Pol Medina Jr. and Toto Madayag are also invited as well.

The Combat Archery booth is seen again and there was never an empty space inside since you can play there for free, not bad for it’s second time in that the event. Shooting games like this basketball shooting game is seen behind the makeshift shooting range booth. The basketball shooting game seemed awkward on it’s space but people still came and played despite the rather odd location.

Near the main stage are tables for tabletop players for those who are interested to play tabletop games, included with people who can teach them the rules and mechanics of the games they chose to play, which is a nice addition to the event since there have been a lot of curious on goers. Video gaming booths provided by PlayStation is also spotted at the event. Activities during the day on the main stage was quite enjoyable to watch, example of it was the Injustice 2 event held by Cosmic Gorgons, a line was already forming. Although that the foot traffic was expected to be many since it was a payday weekend but given that the weather also proved it to be difficult to decide if you would like to go out or not but then the weather has been a bit cooperative past 5 PM. This year’s band lineup was quite spectacular with the returning guest band BennyBunnyBand, plus joining in the lineup is Cheats and Hansom.

The whole event proved to be more engaging and we are hoping that WarnerTV will be hosting another Pop Expo event next year.
