Step into a feudal world filled with magic, samurais, and demon warriors, as Onimusha: Warlords comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam on January 16, 2019. Originally released in 2001, Onimusha: Warlords successfully blended thrilling action with a cinematic story to achieve over 2 million copies sold worldwide. Now Capcom brings the original sword fighting action title to current video game systems with updated features including high-definition graphics, widescreen display option, analog stick support, a readily available Easy Mode option, and new soundtrack.

Responsive and Exhilarating Sword Combat

Deadly Counterattacks!

Just as an enemy is about to strike, you can unleash a well-timed slash attack that kills with a single blow. This is one of many great examples of Onimusha’s intense sword fighting action!

Powerful Magic for Tight Situations!

Use magic to unleash intense attacks. Take advantage of three different types of weapons and their deadly attacks to overthrow the tides of battle!

Absorb Souls to Gain Health and Power!

Absorb and use the souls of defeated enemies with Samanosuke’s special gauntlet. Strengthen weapons and items, restore your health, and survive fierce battles!

New Features

High-Definition Graphics

Characters, background visuals, and cutscenes have been given a high-definition upgrade. Immerse yourself in the world of Onimusha and enjoy enhanced gameplay with improved graphics.

Widescreen Support, New Display Option

Play using the original game’s display ratio (4:3) or in widescreen (16:9). Switch between 4:3 and 16:9 at any time in-game.

*Some menus and screens are fixed at either 16:9 or 4:3.

A screen scroll feature has also been added for widescreen display. The background scrolls up and down according to player movements, showing areas that wouldn’t be fully displayed otherwise.

Analog Stick Support

In addition to the original controls, this remake allows players to move using analog sticks. This added feature makes it easier to move instinctively and change directions quickly, making more action-packed gameplay possible.

Easy Mode Available

Easy Mode is unlocked for players from the start of gameplay, which was a much-needed feature in the original game. This addition makes it easier for both newcomers and long-time fans to dive right in to the Onimusha world.
