There’s a flurry of new content coming to your favorite Blizzard Entertainment games this winter, including the return of the Winter Wonderland event in Overwatch; the launch of Tides of Vengeance, the next chapter in the struggle between the Horde and the Alliance in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth; an all-new Toys event to unwrap in Heroes of the Storm; and new Overwatch League away team skins.

New adventures await—read on for more details.

The time for preparation is over; the hour to strike against the enemy faction is now. Tides of Vengeance, the first major content update for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth, is now live in the Americas region!

In Tides of Vengeance, the war between the Horde and the Alliance reaches a crucial turning point, as new allies join the front lines and old heroes take up arms to reclaim what was stolen. Over the course of Tides of Vengeance, players will:

·       Discover the next chapters in the stories of TyrandeSaurfang, and Vol’jin in new character-driven quest lines.

·       Fight for their faction in an all-new raid, the Battle of Dazar’alor, and experience the conflict from both the Horde and the Alliance’s perspective. Available beginning January 22 with the start of Raid, Mythic Dungeon, and PvP Season 2.

·       Battle in the ashen shadow of Teldrassil in an all-new co-op Warfront, the Battle for Darkshore, as the night elves strike back against the Forsaken to reclaim their ancestral homeland.

·       Defend Kul Tiras and Zandalar from the enemy faction’s invading forces in Horde and Alliance Assaults breaking out across Battle for Azeroth’s outdoor world.

·       Embark on new Island Expeditions to Jorundall and Havenswood; further customize their gear with updates to the Azerite Armor system; unlock Heritage Armor for the dwarves and blood elves; and more!

In addition, with the launch of Tides of Vengeance World of Warcraft players who pre-purchased Warcraft III: Reforged – Spoils of War Edition will receive an in-game mount in WoW: the iconic Meat Wagon, one of the Lich King’s favorite weapons and an invaluable piece of the Scourge arsenal.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Overwatch is getting into the holiday spirit with the return of the Winter Wonderland seasonal event, live now! Starting from today through January 3, 2019, players are invited to expand their collection of seasonal items, enjoy two classic winter brawls, and get ready for lots of holiday fun in this limited-time event.

This year, we’re celebrating by bringing back a pair of Overwatch players’ favorite Arcade brawls: Yeti Hunter and Mei’s Snowball Offensive. We’ve also decked the halls of the Blizzard World map with a sprinkle of wintry holiday cheer.

But we know what everyone really wants most: presents! Unlock new seasonal items—including legendary skins like Krampus Junkrat, Figure Skater Symmetra, Snow Fox Lucio, Snowboarder Zarya, Sugar Plum Fairy Mercy, and Biathalon Widowmaker—alongside winter gear from last year at reduced credit costs. And last but not least, there are also three new epic skins: Gift Wrap Bastion, Festive Reinhardt, and Winter Ashe (with appropriately decked-out Bob).

Play like the pros! Inaugural season home and away Overwatch League team skins now come bundled for 100 OWL Tokens, and all previously owned Overwatch League team skins will be granted their home or away counterpart for free. New expansion team skins are also coming before the 2019 season begins on February 14! For more information, visit

Winter in the Nexus just got a lot cuter with the Heroes of the Storm Toys event! Enjoy all-new toy-themed skins, mounts, portraits, and sprays alongside more festive loot unlocked through an epic Toys event quest, guided by The Kid! In one of Heroes of the Storm’s most extensive event quests to date, embrace your inner child by rolling the dice, completing quests, and unwrapping tons of awesome items as you make your way around the board, including:

  • Cuddlebear Stitches Skin
  • Dehakasaurus Rex Skin
  • Cosmic Force Valeera Skin
  • Cosmic Lion Mount
  • Plush Unicorn Mount
  • The Kid Announcer

In addition to the Toys event, hero reworks for Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen and Stitches, the Terror of Darkshire are now live. Sylvanas’ rework makes her a more formidable opponent in team fights and more rewarding for skilled play, while the Stitches rework helps make the most of his hook talents while refreshing his other talents.

The experience and armor updates that were announced at this year’s BlizzCon as part of the 2019 Gameplay Update are also live in Heroes of the Storm today. Our goal with the 2019 Gameplay Update is to refine the experience system to keep matches closer than ever. Additionally, armor no longer stacks, making this consistent with the game’s movement speed buffs and debuffs.

In case you missed it, we’re also cleaning up the Nexus with Janitor Leoric and his squeaky-clean Soap Mount. You can also have Kevin “Cloaken” Johnson from the Heroes dev team and the Spotlight videos announce your games with the Cloaken announcer pack.
