MSI called out and gathered all the Dragon Army from their Fans, Friends, to influencers and Media Partners to a year-end party. The event was held last December 13, 2018 at the Gariath Concepts Studio in Eastwood, Quezon City.

The program started with a welcoming remarks from the event host, Een Mercado, a gamer/streamer, followed by a short presentations from both MSI Gaming Notebooks and Desktops Departments.

The NB presentation was about MSI’s newest innovation and achievements for the year 2018, taking a look back with the happenings all year round and what’s to look forward to year 2019. Powerful and prestige gaming laptops from GE Raider RGB with gorgeous Mystic Light to the GS65 with thin-bezel and black and gold color combination, and to the PS42 that was designed for content creators, young professionals and editors.

On the other hand, the Desktops presentation tackled about the milestones and events that the department was able to achieve this year in line with the MSI brand vision of providing breathtaking gaming experiences.

Moreover, the presentation also tackled about the portfolio of MSI products such as the gaming gears, the motherboards, graphic cards, and even the pre-built desktops that are available for every gamer who only want the best.

Finally, the presentation concluded with the pledge that the Desktop Platform Systems team will work towards making every MSI product visible in more locations, in order to make MSI products more attainable to everyone, and that there are more gatherings and other events that every end user can look forward to.

The party wouldn’t be complete without activities. After the presentation, MSI tested the knowledge of our attendees about gaming in general through a fun quiz bee contest.

Attendees were divided into groups with maximum of 6 members. The division was made based on the table/seating arrangement of the guests. Mechanics is simple. Each team will just need to work together and answer the questions flashed on screen correctly. With the last standing team crowned as the champion of the Quiz Bee.

The party ended with raffle prizes and a mini exhibition game of Project Xandata in partnership with our friends from Secret 6 (Project Xandata, a skill-based competitive, first-person shooter by veteran Filipino developers, Secret 6). The showdown match was a 5v5 team based. 5 players used Desktop while the other 5 used MSI gaming laptops running the newest Intel Core I7 8750H and GTX 1060 Graphics Card.

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without drink! MSI thanks Emperador Distillers Inc., for sponsoring the drinks and making the event livelier with Emperador Light Brandy + Lime and flavored The Bar gin.

The event might be short but MSI is sure to keep the partnerships built with our friends in the gaming industry for a longer period.
