As it continues to lead the PH esports race, Globe in partnership with Mineski, introduced their slew of new members – an all-female force dubbed “Haliya”.

Named after the masked moon goddess who battles monsters such as Bakunawa in the Bicolano folklore, Liyab Haliya is a mixture of veterans and upcoming esports athletes.  The team will initially compete in League of Legends (LoL) and Arena of Valor (AoV) in upcoming local and foreign tournaments.

Bannering the Liyab Haliya League of Legends (LoL) squad is team captain Denese “Den” Santos with Jonerry “Jonze” Macapagal,  Aiko “Aiko” Onitsuka, Giana “ Serment” Llanes, Jeshua “Fofi” Ferrer and veteran Roxanne “Rox” Ty.  Mirachel “Nukella” Yuki will be the team manager. Liyab Haliya Arena of Valor (AoV), on the other hand, is led by team captain Em “Kaisaya” Dangla with Christine “Yunique” Pagador, Jhoana “Miyeira” Osuyos, Nicole “Kitty” Munsayac and Marge “Marge” Norbe.

Liyab Haliya will make their debut at the Female Esports League (FSL) Elite League of Legends Tournament on September 5-8, 2019 at Suntec Convention Center in Singapore. In preparation for this, the team dropped by the Globe Lifespeed Home booth at Bonifacio High Street to experience low-latency gaming powered by Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G.

Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G is the first commercially available 5G technology for home Internet in Southeast Asia that promises fiber-fast speeds and super data-packed plans perfect for low-lag gaming and making your home digitally connected with intelligent tools and devices. “Globe continues its commitment to growing a more inclusive Phillipine esports industry with Haliya. Through the introduction of 5G technology and our first all-female professional esports team, we aim for the online gaming experience to reach new heights and set the local industry’s place as a major player in the global arena,” says Nikko Acosta, SVP for Content Business Group and Product Management at Globe.
