The NBA 2K Asia Tournament Returns for Its Fifth Iteration

2K along with Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced the details for the NBA 2K20 Asia Tournament. Local qualifiers of the NBA 2K20 Asia Tournament will take place in Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and the Philippines.

This year’s tournament will return to using the fan-favorite Play Now mode, which allows fans to play using the 30 current NBA teams in the league. This offseason saw a plethora of changes and moves in the roster of teams in the league which shook things up in the NBA, which proves to have an exciting season ahead.

The qualifiers will take place starting November 2019 until February 2020. After which, the top 2 players who emerge victorious from each region or country will compete in the NBA 2K20 Asia Tournament Finals, which will be held in Manila, Philippines in March 2020.

 

The NBA 2K20 Asia Tournament will be played exclusively on PlayStation 4 platform and features a prize pool of USD$10,000. The champion will walk away with USD$6,000, while the first runner up will receive USD$2,500, the second runner up will receive USD$1,000 and the third runner up will receive USD$500. Participants who enter the tournament must be at least 18 years old and the age of majority in their region or country of residence and possess a valid passport for travel.

 

NBA 2K20 is now available on PS4 system, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC platforms.
