The legendary Mecha JRPG is getting a model kit treatment, how about a remaster, Square Enix?

Square Enix sure is active in turning classic franchises into merchandise, and it’s not a bad idea. With their latest take on plastic model kits called Structure Arts, we already saw releases for Front Mission and Nier Automata, and their latest take is for the fan-favorite Xenogears. Though we may never see the light of Xenogears being released again, at least we can bring these home as our desktop buddies

The Xenogears Structure Arts Vol. 1 will feature the four Gears from the main protagonists in the PlayStation One classic, Fei’s Weltall, Ellie’s Vierge, Bart’s Brigander and Citan’s Heimdal. Each of the Gears scales at 1/144 which stand at around 4.5 inches, that is almost close to a standard HG gunpla, along with a set of swappable hands, weapon accessories and individual figure stands.

Unlike the Front Mission kits, the Xenogears model kits are taller and could offer more points of articulation based on the product shots, but will still be packaged unpainted, so you may need to brush up your painting skills to make them color-accurate from the game.

Xenogears Structure Arts Vol. 1 will be available in Japan in March 2021 for around JPY 8,700 and the kits will come as a set. Be sure to contact your local hobby stores for
