Those yearning for dark shadows got a first glimpse of the long-awaited DLC for Resident Evil Village.  The Winters’ Expansion arrives Oct. 28, 2022 on all available platforms. The new content includes a Third-Person Mode for the campaign, The Mercenaries Additional Orders featuring new stages and playable characters Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu; and a continuation of the story in Shadows of Rose. Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, a bundle of the Winters’ Expansion and the main game, will also launch on Oct. 28, 2022 in physical and digital formats for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam.

The long-awaited third-person mode has been implemented!

You can play the story mode of Resident Evil Village from a third-person perspective over Ethan’s shoulder, which was not visible until now. New and returning players alike will be able to enjoy witnessing Ethan’s desperate actions to survive in a whole new light.

In Resident Evil Village, no, it should be said in the RE series, the scene in House Beneviento is the most terrifying. Observing this scene from behind Ethan, we can better feel the creepiness of the house. The third-person mode is not only recommended for players who are not good at the first-person view, but also suitable for players who have already finished RE Village.

Stay tuned for the release of this mode.

Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu will be playable in The Mercenaries. New stages have also been added to greatly enhance the mode’s versatility and replayability. Put simply, The Mercenaries has one simple rule: reach the goal before the time runs out. But to do that you need to defeat the enemies in each area. The better you do, the higher your score.

Three characters will be added!

Each character has different moves and unique weapons from Ethan. Please stay tune for the follow-up news.

Shadows of Rose

16 years have passed since that incident…

Ethan’s beloved daughter, Rosemary Winters, is living a healthy life. But struggling to come to terms with her innate special powers, she decides to dive into the world of the Megamycete’s consciousness, or the “realm of consciousness,” to seal them. What she discovers is an extraordinary world far from the reality of the past. A collection of memories of “that village” absorbed by the Megamycete. Rose enters the consciousness of the Megamycete. There, she meets a girl who looks just like her.

“Shadows of Rose” is set completely in a third-person perspective. Enjoy the horror of the world itself being your greatest enemy. In this world, you can also buy healing items and ammo, but the quantity is very limited. Resource management becomes more important than the main story. In this mysterious realm of consciousness, Rose is guided by a being who calls himself “Michael.”

How will Rose find freedom from her mysterious powers? In the realm of consciousness you won’t only face creatures, but the world itself seems to be attacking you.

Resident Evil Re:Verse, a multiplayer experience that will be free for Resident Evil Village players, will go live on the same date.

In Resident Evil Re:Verse you can test your skills against other players in four to six-person survival horror revenge matches. Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tides of battle with powerful bioweapons. In addition to players who purchased Resident Evil Village, this game will also be given to players who purchased “Gold Edition” for free.
