If you love anything Pokemon, then you shouldn’t miss this community event. The Filipino Pokemon community has started the very first PokeCon PH event catered to all Pokemon fans which will happen on May 13, 2023 at the Upper Box event space at Promenade Mall, Greenhills, San Juan.

Expect a ton of activities for Pokemon fans who are into video games, card games, anime, merch and cosplay in the one-day-only event.

If you love to spend on anything Pokemon. there are several merch sellers teaming up to sell some of the Pokemon merchandise, and then there are also artists showcasing their fanart creations that attendees can buy. If you just want to hang out and meet up with fellow Pokemon trainers, the event encourages everyone to trade cards or Pokemons from their favorite game versions, do meetups and make new friends or have friendly matches

PokeCon will be bringing guests including the voice actors from the Filipino dub of the Pokemon anime, DJ Kara who voiced Ash Ketchum and Jefferson Seril Utanes, the voice of James and Giovanni of Team Rocket will be making an appearance. Indie Komikero Sskait will also be at PokeCon to throw some memes and interact with fellow Pokemon trainers at the event.

If love joining event activities, there is the Trivia Challenge for those who want to test their knowledge about the Pokemon world, you can check the mechanics for details. For those who are looking for something competitive and to be the very best like no one ever was, there is the PokeCon Cup for the VGC tournament. You can register here to be able to participate in the online preliminaries, with the top eight competing at the event.

And for the cosplayers, there will be a cosplay competition so you can cosplay as a Pokemon or any of the popular characters from the franchise, be sure to check the guidelines and when you’re ready, you can register here. If you just wanna go casual, you can wear any Pokemon apparel at the event so you can dress to impress (and don’t forget to bring your favorite Pokemon plushie for that added Trainer experience).
