A new model for the PlayStation 5 was recently announced by Sony and it is expected to launch during the Holiday season.
The said model will be 30% smaller and 18-24% lighter compared to the original model, a nice improvement added for the new model will be the 1TB SSD, whereas the original only had a 500GB SSD variant. One major change for this model would be the option to attach the Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc Drive for the Digital Edition of the console, the disc drive can be purchased as an optional device for around USD 79.99.
The new PS5 model is expected to be released around November just in time for the holidays, the suggested retail prices according to Sony are as follows:

There will be accessories available for the new PS5 model, including the Horizontal Stand which will be included when you purchase the new PS5 and the new version of the Vertical Stand which is compatible with all PS5 models will be priced at around USD 29.99. New PS5 Console Covers will be available in early 2024 for the new model that includes the all-matte Black and the Deep Earth Collection (Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver) priced at around USD 54.99 with more colors releasing in the future.
