SEGA and The Creative Assembly Limited have unveiled a new look at Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 at the PC Gaming Show 2026, combining behind-the-scenes developer insights with brand-new in-development gameplay.
Within this feature, the development team discusses how they are bringing the iconic science-fantasy universe of Warhammer 40,000 to life, from galaxy-spanning conflict and sandbox-driven campaigns to the diverse worlds and distinct factions that define the 41st millennium.
Alongside this, viewers get a first glimpse of in-development battle gameplay, as the Astra Militarum forces clash with Orks on the Shattered Expressway map, a war-torn stretch of a polluted Imperial world that showcases the scale, destruction, and tactical depth that underpin Total War’s first step into the setting.
To close the segment, the studio confirmed that a closed beta will launch later this year, and players can join the fight now by signing up: www.totalwar.com/beta
