Good Smile Company today unveiled the third official trailer for Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files, the upcoming 3D action game for PlayStation®5 and PC launching in Summer 2026.
Alongside the new trailer, the company announced a second round of pre-orders for the game’s limited-quantity Special Edition, featuring an exclusive plastic model kit, as well as plans to showcase the latest trailer at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles.
Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean, with international pre-orders available.

Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files is a 3D action game that lets players experience many of the most memorable moments from the beloved Mobile Police Patlabor series.
Features include:
- Story missions playable from both the perspective of Special Vehicles Section 2 and the opposing side.
- Pilot more than 20 different Labors, including iconic machines such as Ingram, Griffon, and Type Zero.
- A Simulator Mode featuring shooting practice and Labor-versus-Labor battles.
Story
Labors are giant robots originally developed for industrial use.
As their adoption across construction and civil engineering rapidly expanded, Labor-related crime also became increasingly common. In response, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police established the Special Vehicles Section 2 Patrol Labor Unit to combat this new threat.
Thus, the Patlabor was born.
Third Trailer Introduces Three Distinct Game Modes
The new trailer highlights the game’s three primary modes:
- Main Mission
- Another Side Mission
- Simulator Mode
In addition to showcasing gameplay from each mode, the trailer offers a first look at the fully voiced story sequences featuring members of Special Vehicles Section 2 Division 2, along with plenty of newly revealed scenes from throughout the game.
Limited Special Edition Returns for Second Pre-Order Wave
Following strong demand, Good Smile Company has opened a second round of pre-orders for the Mobile Police Patlabor the Case Files Special Edition.
The Special Edition includes the exclusive MODEROID Griffon the Case Files Color Ver. plastic model kit, available only with this release.
As a first-print bonus, players will also receive an Original Soundtrack CD featuring 30 tracks, including the game’s opening theme, “the Case Files,” newly composed by acclaimed composer Kenji Kawai.
