Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia is pleased to announce that the paid DLC Anniversary Expansion Pack for SUPER ROBOT WARS Y, the latest title in the Super Robot Wars series, is set for release on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.
As the name suggests, this celebratory DLC commemorates the Super Robot Wars series surpassing 20 million copies sold and the 35th anniversary of the series. Fans can enjoy additional missions and new playable mechs in this DLC.
Along with the release of the Anniversary Expansion Pack, ver 1.4.0 Free Update will also be released. A new trailer has been released, showcasing more details from the Anniversary Expansion Pack and the 1.4.0 Free Update has been released.
Anniversary Expansion Pack includes 33 new area missions, 12 new weapons, five playable units, and one new assist crew member. There’s also an additional Bonus Mission: Anniversary Expansion Purchase Bonus.
The following updates will be scheduled for release on August 4:
- 20 Million Copies Sold Commemorative Mission
- 35th Anniversary Mission
- New game mode “BOOST” added
- Pilot level cap raised
- Further Improvement to stability
To commemorate the Super Robot Wars series surpassing 20 million copies sold, the mission CONGRATULATION 20000000! will be released for free.

*Unlock condition: Complete CHAPTER 2, “Aliens Adrift.”
Free 35th Anniversary Mission
The game is releasing the mission CONGRATULATION 35th! for free to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Super Robot Wars series.
*This content becomes available after updating to version 1.4.0.
*Unlock requirement: Complete CHAPTER 2, “A Mission for Brave Heroes.”
New game mode “BOOST” added
With the free update to version 1.4.0 on Tuesday, 4 August, a new game mode called “BOOST” will be added.
In this mode, you’ll earn double the EXP, CREDIT, and MXP, while aircraft modification costs, pilot training costs, and item selling prices are halved—making it easier to level up your characters.
*This mode will become available after updating to version 1.4.0.
*The enemy difficulty is the same as in the “NORMAL” game mode.
The pilot level cap will be raised from Lv. 150 to Lv. 200.
*The base game is required to use the Anniversary Expansion Pack. If the latest patch is required, please update the game before use.
Production of Super Robot Wars Z II Ruination Remastered has been confirmed.
