The Pokémon Company and Nintendo are happy to announce that Pokémon Pokopia has sold over 5 million copies worldwide in the first four months following its global release on March 5, 2026. With the title continuing to reach new milestones, attention is now turning to what comes next for players. The latest sales figures highlight the strong ongoing interest in the game, while the upcoming Expansion Pass is set to expand the experience even further.
Planned and co-developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES, Pokémon Pokopia is the first cozy sandbox game in the franchise. In this game, you get to play as a Ditto transformed to look like a human, and restore a desolate land with the help of Pokémon friends. Savor the slow life, gather resources such as wood and stone to create tools, or berries to share with Pokémon friends, and create your own delightful world.
Additionally, August 5 2026 saw the release of “Bubbly Basin”, Part 1 of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Paid DLC. By using the new move “Dive” included in a free update, players get to dive below the waves and explore the underwater town of “Bubbly Basin”.

The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Paid DLC will be released in three parts, with one set purchase giving access to all three parts as they get released following the schedule below:
Part 1: Bubbly Basin (Released on August 5, 2026)
