Riot Games has announced the return of League of Legends’ virtual hip-hop collective True Damage, who will perform the 2026 League of Legends World Championship Anthem, “Know My Name” (Riot Games/Virgin Music Group). The track marks the 13th Worlds Anthem to date and will be available across all major streaming platforms beginning Thursday, October 8 at 6:00 pm PT, alongside the premiere of the official music video on the League of Legends YouTube. Pre-save for the track is available HERE.
True Damage is a boundary-pushing hip-hop collective in the growing roster of groundbreaking virtual artists within the iconic League of Legends IP. The collective brings together five beloved in-game champions as artists, each bringing their own distinct sound, style, and global influence: Akali (rapper), Ekko (rapper), Qiyana (vocalist, rapper), Senna (vocalist), and Yasuo (DJ, producer).
“Know My Name” marks True Damage’s first release since their 2019 breakout single, “GIANTS,” which has amassed over 230M streams across all platforms. In the years since, the members have pursued their own creative paths, building individual identities and influences outside of the collective. Now, they reunite to celebrate the ambition, individuality, and competitive drive at the heart of Worlds and the journey required to reach its biggest stage.
After record-breaking years collaborating on the anthem with global artists including NewJeans, Linkin Park, and Chinese superstar G.E.M., this marks the first time one of Riot’s virtual artists will take on the anthem. Each member brings their own background and influence to the collective, creating a sound that is globally inspired yet uniquely True Damage. Bringing together raw grit, global culture, and an evolved hip-hop sound, “Know My Name” channels the energy of competition and the relentless drive to reach the top. True Damage returns not for fame, but for impact, delivering a Worlds anthem that celebrates the diverse paths players take to make their name known.
An all-star lineup of global artists brings True Damage to life for their 2026 return: SOYEON of i-dle returning as Akali, Coco Jones as Senna, Vic Mensa as Ekko, and Sofía Reyes as Qiyana.
“The Worlds anthem is the music moment that League players look forward to the most each year, and with Worlds coming to New York this year, True Damage felt like the perfect artist to take on the anthem“ said Maria Egan, Global Head of Music at Riot Games. “Much like our host city, True Damage has always been about bringing together distinct voices, styles, and cultures to create something unique and bigger than the sum of its parts. That spirit feels especially fitting for Worlds, where the best teams and players from around the globe come together to make their mark. For our most dedicated players and esports fans, the League Champs in our virtual bands are the superstars they most want to see on the Worlds stage.”
“It’s such an honor to be part of True Damage again, especially for this year’s Worlds anthem,” expresses SOYEON who returns as the voice of Akali. “I can’t wait to see the reactions of League’s fans when they hear the song. I’m really excited to create an amazing opening ceremony with all the League players and fans.”
“I’m so excited to be stepping into the League of Legends universe with True Damage alongside Vic Mensa, Sofía Reyes, and SOYEON,” shares Coco Jones. “I absolutely love finding new ways to connect with people through music, and this collaboration is unlike anything I’ve done before, so it’s major. Riot has really created this incredible world where music and storytelling come to life, and being able to bring my own style and energy into that has been so much fun.”
“League of Legends is a behemoth franchise that’s producing some of the largest events in the world, so I’m excited to join the universe,” adds Vic Mensa. “I had a lot of fun stepping into Ekko’s world, diving into his story, and finding ways to bring some of that into my verse. I can’t wait for fans to hear the track and see what we’ve created.”
“I think this is an incredible opportunity to grow, connect with new people, and experience new cultures. It has been such a unique experience, and hearing so many different languages come together in one song is beautiful,” says Sofía Reyes. “It also brought out a fiery side of me that you don’t usually hear in my music, so I hope you enjoy it! It’s truly an honor to be part of something so big.”
