Tokyo-based video game publisher and developer Cygames has announced that the demo for the upcoming “leap-offaith” action-adventure game, Where the Seeds Fall, is available today on Steam. Cygames is publishing the game under CygamesEdge, a new brand dedicated to empowering small and mid-sized development teams.
A new trailer featuring an extended look at the game’s world has been revealed, along with the MSRP. Where the Seeds Fall launches November 5, 2026, as a digital title on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.
The demo for Where the Seeds Fall launches today on Steam®, featuring a challenging section designed to showcase the game’s mechanics and descent elements. The demo has all actions unlocked from the start, contains no story elements, and can be completed in about 15 to 30 minutes.
The full game features a stronger emphasis on narrative and lore, with actions being gradually unlocked as players progress through the story. The full game’s difficulty is also balanced to be more accessible to a wider audience.
Where the Seeds Fall is set in a world ravaged by Blight, where humanity has been forced to build new homes upon the branches of the World Tree. The protagonist, a man who has lost everything, encounters a “Fell Child,” a being branded as an omen of disaster. Together, they begin their descent toward the surface.
